I have used a version of this before, but with several bank accounts (using the no fee online only accounts that I can transfer money from in a moments notice).

We did really good for a little while when we started tracking where we were spending EVERY PENNY.

Like we wrote down 'receipts' for everything that we didn't get receipts for, and kept all the other receipts. At the end of the month, I tallied up gas, bills, house, car maintenance, food, hygienic products, and JUNK, and it was amazing how much we were spending on Junk food. It was more than our grocery bill. (Included all of the drive through and coffee purchases, movie junk food, small snacky foods we bought with out groceries... It was incredible.)

We started giving ourselves an allowance for junk food, to include all of our coffee/DT, etc purchases, and micromanaged everything else. We had extra money, but then we spent it on bigger things we wanted. lol So it kind of backfired.

Then we just stopped doing it, and now we have no idea where our money goes. Although I have a sneaking suspicion a lot more than we think it junk food and snack food again. I don't go out as often as I used to, so I know I don't spend very much, but Chris does make junk food runs for us, so... yeah. lol

Timothy McVeigh being a Christian doesn't give any excuse for Muslims to blow up churches and drive planes into buildings.
McVeigh wasn't even Christian. He even said in a quote that "science is my religion". And even if he was a Christian, he didn't bomb Oklahoma City for a Christian cause. He bombed it because he was mad at the federal government. Please get your facts straight before shouting this myth over and over again. But assuming that all of these statements are true, the reason why nobody points a finger at Christianity is because McVeigh wasn't gathering fellow bombers to forever fight against the government and disrupt society. His actions were condemned by the vast majority of the West. There was nobody looking to imitate his attacks, nor were there people who silently agreed with his motivation or sympathized with his cause. That's why no one feels the need to target Christians, because he didn't bomb Oklahoma City for a Christian cause, neither did he use the bible to recruit other people.
When terrorist attacks began receiving more attention, where was the religious reformation? Where was the public outcry in Muslim countries against terrorist attacks like the Moscow bombings? Already, after some South Park cartoonists featured Muhammed but didn't even show his face, Revolution Islam has threatened them on their website. So I guess terrorism in the name of Islam is fine and dandy, but whenever someone in the west draws a cartoon or makes a comment about Islam, everyone is up in arms, and someone gets killed. Where is this peaceful religion that you name? Where is the tolerance that Islam is supposed to promise? The West needs to stop bending over for the sake of "religious freedom" and "tolerance" and defend itself to a very real threat that is infecting society like herpes.
Would you want to build a Neo-Nazi center at Auschwitz sites? How about a shinto shrine? Maybe a few KKK centers here and there. Stop turning this into a question of religious freedom. I know that Imam Rauf has the legal right to build a mosque in that particular place that is VERY close to the site, but just because things like adultery are legal doesn't make them acceptable. It is just disrespectful to the 9/11 families that were randomly killed for an Islamic cause. If this mosque actually gets built, I propose that a gay bar and a pork factory and a center for Satanists be built right next to it.

I believe it was him, too. Dreams can be powerful, sometimes it is your imagination gone wild, but then there's those other times, like this one, where you just KNOW it wasn't just a dream.

Glad you got the hug you wanted and needed. :)

I hate my bank. With a burning passion. But I can't cash personal checks -- or pay bills, or have the gym membership, or a bunch of other things, sigh -- without my account, and that's how I get paid, so... yeah. D: I've overdrawn so many times, and it pisses me off that they charge so much for simple $1-10 overdrafts.

But yes. We will rock at saving money!

I use the envelope technique too! I don't have a checking account, so it works great for me. (I have a hate relationship with banks)

I'm also horrible at saving money. So I'm trying *really* hard to save money these next few months.

I wish us both luck! :)
